COMMUNITY SERVE DAY is a special Sunday where our worship service looks a little different. Instead of gathering in our sanctuary, we come together at various locations across San Diego County to honor and worship God by engaging in meaningful service that makes a real difference in our local community, reflecting God’s goodness.

We believe Jesus is still calling His disciples to go out, do good works, care for others, and share the message that the Kingdom of God is near. Join us this Community Serve Day as we follow Jesus beyond the walls of the church and serve our community together!

WHO DO WE SERVE AND HOW?

We partner with a diverse group of individuals and organizations throughout San Diego County, offering a wide range of tasks—there’s truly something for everyone! Whether you choose to serve in a way you already enjoy or try something new, you’ll find opportunities to make an impact. You can choose to support an organization you're already familiar with or discover a new one. Our projects include categories like gardening, indoor and outdoor maintenance, cleaning, food preparation, and more. We work with a variety of organizations, including senior centers, schools, parks, housing nonprofits, and others!

WHO JOINS IN COMMUNITY SERVE DAY?

This is a fantastic service opportunity for all ages, welcoming everyone from our congregation and the community. Feel free to invite your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors, even if they don't typically attend SBPC! All ages are encouraged to join us. You can choose a service site that fits with your interests and abilities.
