Hello Solana Beach Presbyterian families!

My name is Carla Martinez and I have been serving our preschool families and their children at the preschool since 1996. I began teaching preschool in 1994 in Imperial Valley, where I worked for head start until I moved to San Diego with my husband. My husband Leo and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for almost thirty years. We have been blessed with five boys, Robert, Noah, Carlo, Felipe, Cristoforo and our girl, Luna (chiweenie dog). We enjoy spending time as a family watching movies, going to concerts and traveling.

Hi my name is Miss Lilly! I have been with SBPP since 2019! They have seen me through my very first observation of a preschool up to graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development. I have been a school aide, a teacher, and now Assistant Director! I feel an overwhelming sense of pride to be a part of this team with such inspirational educators. It is a blessing to support these families and their children through the pivotal first five years!

My name is Joana, but I go by Joey. I have worked at Solana Beach Presbyterian preschool since 2018. I have taught three year olds since I started. But I love to play with my early morning and extended time friends. I have an associate's degree in early childhood education. I enjoy long drives, photography, and spending time with my family. Teaching has become a big part of my life and I can't wait to continue this passion of mine.

My name is Miss Karla. I have been teaching at Solana Beach Presbyterian Preschool since 2017. I have taught Pre-K, Bilingual, and Bonus Pre-K. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. Teaching has been a passion of mine and I am loving every second of it!

Hi! My name is Miss Leila. I have lived in San Diego my whole life. I live in North Park with my fiance, Josh, and our dog whose name is Arthur. I have been at SBPP since 2022. I started as an aide my first year and now I'm going into my third year as a teacher! I love the adventures we have at SBPP every day and I'm looking forward to adventures with many more littles!

My name is Maria, I’m a Solana Beach resident since the year 2000. I was born and raised in Mexicali, Mexico. I studied early childhood education at miramar college and received my certificate to teach Preschool in 1992. I have 20 years of experience working with children. This will be my fourth year working at SBPP!

My name is Nyla, and I am thrilled to begin my first year of teaching here at SBPP! I recently graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. Working with children has always been my passion, and I truly believe God led me to this school to help shape young minds with my big heart.

Hello! I’m Miss Yereysi. This is my 3rd year working in our lovely preschool. For my first year I worked as a school aide and later on I became a teacher’s aide and now I am a teacher for the 2’s class. I love working with kids and I feel so ready to have a great and happy school year!

Hi, my name is Miss Marcie and I graduated from SDSU with a degree in Fine Arts back in 1997, but the last 15 years was an Admin Associate for one of the many business departments at Rady Children’s Hospital.This is my first year at Solana Beach Presbyterian Preschool as an aide and I am very excited.
