Pathways to Citizenship

Helping Qualified Immigrants Navigate the Complex Path to Citizenship

Many journeys. One community.

Started in 2013 by SBPC members, Pathways to Citizenship (formerly NCICC) has developed from an adult ESL/Citizenship tutoring program into a Department of Justice-recognized 501(c)3 legal firm that offers pro-bono and low-cost legal immigration services, as well as English as a Second Language tutoring and citizenship preparation.

WHO DO WE SERVE AND HOW?

Pathways’ vision is to be the most trusted and qualified provider of legal and educational services for low-income immigrants in San Diego County.

We demonstrate the love of Christ with our immigrant clients and students, and we “welcome the stranger” by helping qualified immigrants on their pathway to U.S. citizenship.

WHO JOINS IN OUR MINISTRY?

Volunteer tutors, interns and attorneys, the Solana Beach Library, Hope for San Diego, Mira Costa College Service Learning Center, and many other partners contribute to the success of this dynamic agency.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED

Volunteer to tutor ESL or help a client prepare for their citizenship interview, intern with our legal team or help with outreach, sponsor a client’s journey to citizenship, host a fundraiser, or donate to help us expand services to underserved areas of North County.
